Senior Adult Ministry

The abundant life in Christ expressed in John 10:10 defines how many Colbert senior adults are living their lives. The Saints Alive Ministry, open to all those who are 55 and over, seeks to honor God by providing opportunities for senior adults to grow spiritually, fellowship with one another and reach lost and un-churched senior adults in the community. Through Bible studies, outreach opportunities and involvement in various ministries, this growing ministry also encourages senior adults not to "retire" in their service to Christ. Come be a part of this vibrant and active ministry.

Homebound and Nursing Home Ministry

Active senior adults spend time ministering to other senior adults who can no longer get out by themselves. A variety of ministries are provided, depending on the needs of the homebound person and the resources of the visitor.

Trips and Outings

Several trips of varying duration are planned for senior adults throughout the year to places like Pigeon Forge, Tenn., Short outings to Cherry Blossom Festival, North Georgia Apple Farm, Scenic Train rides and shopping in South Carolina are also planned. Special Recognition Senior Adult Sunday

A special Sunday in late spring each year designed to honor our senior adults. We handle the entire morning worship service, from the speaking to the music, including the favorite hymns we grew up on.

Sunday School

A variety of classes are offered for senior adults. There are classes for men only, women only and for couples.
